After a couple of years with no real direction or vision for our breeding program, we lucked into purchasing Wood Bridge Too KW Liliana, who was retiring from her very successful show career.
At that time we had upwards of 40 ADGA registered Nigerians and we were focusing on crossing J-Nels, for their conformation and hardiness, with Rosasharn for their dairiness, and milking abilities. Everything changed when Lily arrived.
I'm a bit of a data geek and have been known to lose HOURS of my day researching pedigrees (don't judge). When I started digging into the Wood Bridge lines, specifically those tracing back to the Rosasharn Warbler lines (which I was already a fan of!) we decided to start fresh. We sold off all of our early J-Nels x Rosasharn lines that didn't tie back to Liliana and started looking for relatives for line breeding.
Today, we have 5 Liliana daughters and 3 granddaughters. We've also added SGCH WOOD BRIDGE TOO LOVE POTION# 9 who is Liliana's aunt via NC Promisedland Palbo Abednego. Palbo has 4 finished champion daughters, 2 of which are also Superior Genetics, and 3 Champion sons.
We were pretty impressed with Palbo and his offspring, so we have also added FIVE-POINTS MARTHA'S VNYD, who is Palbo's great-granddaughter.
Our intention, for the foreseeable future, is to breed our does back to Palbo and Apache Wind sons or grandsons. We've added Churn Dash DB Oberon (a Palbo Grandson) and Agape's Prize Unbelievably Hot (an Apache Wind grandson) for the 2018-2019 breeding season. Agape's Prize Unbelievably Hot "Hottie" is co-owned with Churn Dash Farm and FLG Farm, both of whom have likeminded goals in resurrecting these older, productive lines.
